Specialized activities plan for 2023

Title: Anisotropic deformation of spin systems
Type: Specialized lecture and seminar
Date: Mar 2024
Place: Košice
Lecturer:

Mgr. Andrej Gendiar PhD., Garant: RNDr. Matúš Mihalik PhD., e-mail: matmihalik@saske.sk

Lecture goal: The task of the seminar will be to illustrate the modern methods of analysis of magnetic materials using the so -called. Tenzor networks. Three basic types of phase transitions (first, second and endless order) will be elaborated in detail and illustrated in a simple model with anisotropic spin interaction. This model has been designed to offer new perspectives of theoretical justification of experimental measurements of magnetic materials.

Title: STEFAN JEDLIK AWARD COMPETITION FOR THE BEST FINAL THESIS IN THE AREA OF APPLIED MAGNETISM AND MAGNETIC MATERIALS
Type: Competition for students of Slovak universities
Date: March – November 2024
Place: Košice
Guarantees:

Prof. RNDr. Ján Ziman, CSc. jan.ziman@tuke.sk, doc. RNDr. Ing. Jozef Onufer, PhD., jozef.onufer@tuke.sk

Competition goal: The goal of the competition is to support young specialists dealing with the magnetism and the advancement of the co-operation among teachers and students of the Slovak universities and high schools in the given area. The competition results are declared during the Science and Technology Week in the Slovak republic and the ceremony is associated with the presentations of the winning theses.

Title: The XIV. European Magnetic Sensors and Actuators Conference (EMSA 2024)
